Our mission with
the Department of Phenomenal Evidence ("DPE") is to bring the
individual NSAC Spiritualist Churches closer together in working with
this exciting world of Evidence from the Spirit World. In working
together we hope to generate more interest within the general public.
In the next few
months we will be looking closely at the paperwork, how to restructure
and simplify the report form, web site design and ease of use. We
will also be sharing some of our personal experiences so that those
reporting will get a better idea of what is needed for reporting
purposes.
We
will be welcoming Spiritualist Churches in the New England and New York
area to give classes on different ways of obtaining phenomenal evidence
such as table tipping, electronic voice phenomena ("EVP") and
Transformation, for minimal compensation. All compensation will be toward travel expenses and equipment for the DPE.
We
have enlisted the aid of Reverend John Sullivan from the First
Spiritualist Church of Springfield, MA, to help us in analyzing the
photography end of Phenomenal Evidence as Reverend Sullivan is an
accomplished professional photographer and brings along years of
experience as a spirit investigator.
As we move along
this pathway, we well be inviting those willing to help in other areas
of phenomena who may be more experienced in evaluating submissions. We
encourage our church classes to experiment with different ways of
acquiring phenomena. As
we expand our areas of learning about phenomenal evidence procedures,
we will pass this on to the churches via the Spiritualist Summit, NSAC
Phenomenal web site and letters in the NSAC monthly mailing, with the
hopes that those who receive the information will pass it along to
their members and non-member parishioners.
Next month you will
find a report and the story to go along with it. Hopefully this will
give you an idea of what to look for and do. We
have had several experiences of this sort from friends and will report
on them when there available time and space.
With peace, love and gratitude to all.
Revs. Lynn and Brian Kent
