On
January 14, 1999, Brian's mother Sylvia passed to spirit at St. Luke's
hospital
in New Bedford, Massachusetts, rather unexpectedly. Several things
happened after that stormy New England day
starting at 6:00am the next morning. As
I opened my car door when leaving for work after receiving over 5
inches of
snow, I received an unexpected surprise.
A robin was on the front seat of the car!! I did not know who was
scared more, myself or the poor bird. Yes, I wondered where this
springtime bird
came from and felt it as a message from "Spirit". I learned later that
the robin was Sylvia's favorite bird. As of yet I did not know, but I
was learning
that a spirit message can show up at the least expected time.
On
the prior day, I left work before noontime even though it was still
snowing
hard, to meet Brian at the hospital in New Bedford. There we waited
together until the surgery was over. Brian felt his mother's pain and
whispered
in her ear it was okay to leave and go into spirit while we life for
lunch at
the hospital's cafeteria. After a short
lunch we returned back to the intense care unit and were told Sylvia,
Brian's
mom has passed peacefully.
Brian
was devastated. This was not expected,
but we also knew that it must have been her time.
Brian kept asking if
we could "do the table' when we got home. I knew he wanted answers as
to how she was
doing on the side of spirit and so I promised we would, but still
trying to
talk him out of it because I thought it was too soon and didn't want to
let him
down if his mother did not come through.
Sylvia and Table Tipping Messages
We
went about our usual routine of prayer and singing to raise the vibration, and
the table started moving almost as we put our hands on it. It turned out that the spirit coming through
was Brian's mom, Sylvia Kent. She gave
information by tapping out letters through the table of who she was (even though
she never saw a table tipping session).
The process was normal, but it was unusual for me that a spirit could
come through so fast, yet we went along for the ride to see where it would lead
us.
At
that time I believed spirit needed much more time to get accustomed to their
new environment. Since then we have
found that if "spirit consciousness' wants to get information to someone, they
will, whenever and however they can.
She told us that "if she knew it was going to be so wonderful and
beautiful here, (spirit plane), she would have gone sooner". (Sylvia was 86 years young when she
passed). She also told us about a cloth
bag she had in one of her drawers of her dresser that had money in it. She kept saying 5 . . . 5, when we asked how
much money was in it. We really took
this with a "grain of salt" because at that time we truly thought spirit needed
more time to communicate and this was only about eight hours after she had
passed.
The
next day we me Carol, Brian's sister, and went about ordering flowers and the
like. Carol's husband, Carl and her
daughter Vicky started cleaning out the apartment to take some of the furniture
home to Maine. While we were out, we
told Carol about our experience the night before and reminisced about
Sylvia. With all the grief and hurt, we
forgot about looking for the money Sylvia communicated through the table
tipping session.
Upon
arriving back to Sylvia's apartment, we had an exciting and unexpected
announcement waiting for us. Vicky was
all excited about what she had found in her grandmother's dresser drawer. Vicky was holding a silk pouch-type bag with
$500.00 in it. What more proof did we
need that Sylvia was her old self, feisty as ever (born and raised in Maine)
and her concern for us on the physical plane!
Since
that time we have learned to look more closely at the information given to us
through spirit communication via "Table Tipping" as yet another form of spirit communication..
