Time Lapse, Orbs and Other Spooky Things
Rev. Beth Carter of Portland, Maine sent in our first set of
pictures.
They were taken at her
mother's home in 1948. These pictures are samples of what was
called "time lapse" photography at
the time. This is done by placing a "sans" wrapping or sheer cloth over the artificial
light in the room. You can see the
overhead light in picture "C" which
was taken on a different day and was NOT a "time
lapse" photo, but shows clearly the reflection of the light fixture in the
family parlor where all the photos were taken. Picture "B" shows the "sans" cloth over the light fixture in the mirror
(upper left side).
In analyzing these photos it has been noticed that there are stripe-type
lines going from top to bottom in pictures "A"
+ "B". This is caused by film being
drawn across the view finder during the course of the "time lapse" photo being taken.
It is "B" that draws the attention. After enlarging this photo to letter size
and looking through a magnifying glass, it is noticed that distinct "face-like"
images appear in the background.
As we look at the right side of the picture you will notice 3 face-like
images, don't get too excited yet. This
is not "Spirit" showing their selves, this is the wallpaper print. Taking the photo in "time lapse" photography it makes the wall pattern much more
distinct and life-like. Now bring your attention a little more to the left of
the border of the picture. Just above
the knob on the right side of the chair, there is a darker mark. Although it was not noticed at first, it
seems like there is a vague face peeking in through the window and the sheer
curtains covering the window, and again in the reflection of the mirror.
Although it is not a distinct picture for making a positive ID of a
"Spirit" form, it is felt that there is Spirit activity at work here. It is a possibility this was one of the
times Spirit was caught by a camera.
Picture "D" (and "E", blow up of area in question) was
sent in by Ella Byrner of McKeesport, Pennsylvania. The picture is of the bride, her great-granddaughter, and the
Father of the Bride. It was taken about
2 years ago at the wedding of Ella's great-granddaughter. No one has any idea who the person might be
behind the Father of the Bride. It was
taken spontaneously and it was a shock to those involved in the wedding to see
someone there.
It looks simply like a shiny object catching the reflection of the
flash
you see in the background. It does not
feel scary or creepy to me, although it looks it. Especially if you
see it in color, printed on photo paper. Just being "green" is enough
to make anyone
wonder.
It is common for shiny objects to reflect light in different colors when
the camera captures an image. In this
case we have the flash from the camera as the picture was being taken and the
flash from the background camera.
Simply put, when scientifically analyzed, it is REFLECTION caught
by the cameras. But....
Upon first receiving this picture
it looked much like it does now. A
shiny object caught in the middle of two flashes and reflecting green light. At the end of the summer, when it was being
scanned into the computer, Both Brian and I noticed there were two green shiny lights, first
impression, "eyes". It almost looked like a face popping out at
us. Now on September 26, 2007, looking
at the original picture while writing this article, there is only one shiny
object in the photo. We cannot come to
a conclusion but I must say, even though it looks creepy, the energy I feel
from it is peaceful.
Our Last Photograph labeled "F" is sent in and taken of Kenneth Cox
of Auburn, Maine. It was taken of
Kenneth on August 24, 2007 at 7 pm. This
was to be a simple photo taken of Kenneth in his back yard by his wife
Margaret. And now here is "the rest of
the story".
Scientific Data: Located
about 200 feet to the left of Ken and Margaret's property is the Central Maine
Power Station. An event of a
"fireball" was seen by his wife Margaret about 2 years prior to this photo. At
that time the "fireball" hit his neighbor's house resulting in physical
evidence in the form of burn marks to the side of the neighboring home. Although Central Maine Power did pay for
damages, they concluded the damages could NOT be from the CMP station. As a result of an eye witness and no other conclusion
being reached, the authorities had no choice in the matter to rule that CMP was
the cause.
Facts seen in the photo: At 7pm the sun is not
reflecting in the camera. The sky is
cloudy. The bright ball is very much
like an orb and is distinct against the green of the trees. There is no evidence that the photo had been
tamped with.
Kenneth has always felt Spirit
working with him. In the past years
spirit communication has come to him through poetry. He has written
many poems and has produced a CD. The name of the CD is "Spirit" and
there are
3 versions. The poems are written very
quickly in a 5-10 minute time frame and at the spur of the moment, as
Spirit
moves him.
We believe that the ball of
bright matter caught by the camera is unknown, but we feel it may be to
reinforce the poetry that Ken is composing with the help of spirit.
