A short time ago a parishioner, Jim, of the First
Spiritualist Church of Springfield, Massachusetts told me an interesting
story. This department would like to share it on this Father's Day
as a gift to all Dads who read this Magazine and believe in "Spirit".
As a Spiritualist, Jim KNOWS "Spirit" will help when needed or asked.
"Spirit" saw fit to amaze others as they did Jim for those few moments during
the delivery of his son,Jonathan.
I have had many stories told to me by those who may have seen loved-ones in the delivery room but Jim's story is unusual in the fact that others heard what happened in the delivery room at the birth of his son. These are Jim's words.
"I was basically scared to death during my wife's labor. I prayed harder than I ever did before to "Spirit" to help because she was moments from a C-section. At the moment my son was pulled from the birth canal, a mix of harp-like music and singing followed. A "TA-DA" appeared in the air just over him. Yes there was a "TA-DA". After this everyone in the room, the doctor, anesthetist and nurses were in total shock! Everyone knew that the music came out of thin air".
"I recently asked Debbie, my wife, how she felt at that moment and she told me she was concerned over what everyone was looking for, talking about the music and no one was paying attention to her. She really felt she got neglected for a few minutes because of it all. You see I am just giving it to you like it happened, nothing more and nothing less". Jim.

Jim's grandmother, Mildred Kane was a fine medium and for over 20 years she
taught Jim a lot about "Spirit". Below are some photographs that

As was mentioned before, Jim's grandmother, Mildred Kane, had a huge impact on
Jim's Spiritual beliefs. He still communicates, in his own way,
with his beloved grandmother. Below she is shown with his son
Johnny.
Jim requested that Mildred let her presence be known to him by showing herself over "her" clock. The photograph resulted in presenting a clear and unmistakable "orb" above the 150-year-old clock.

Since Johnny's birth Jim has felt "Spirit" has taken a special
interest in him. Jim asked for help when his son was born and he
has continued to ask Spirit to show their presence.
