This past April 2008, Lynn and I
flew USAir to Florida to visit my cousin Judy in Ft. Myers Florida. She moved down to Florida from
Massachusetts after she retired. Additionally,
her brother moved down a few years before and loved the location; as a result
Judy bought a home 4 houses down from him and invited family members to visit.
Our stay with Judy was quite and
uneventful, until we visited the Koreshan Unity historic site in Estero, just a
few miles south of Ft. Meyers. The
Koreshan plantation was home to a placid but kooky cult founded in 1894 by Dr.
Cyrus Teed. Dr. Teed was a very
religious man who went by the name "Koresh" from the book of Isaiah 44:28. He believed that god was a woman, that the
universe and sun were inside out with the heavens being a sphere in the center
of a concave world. The Koreshanites
being celibate resulted in no offspring's, and the cult finally died out with
the passing of "the last Koreshan" Ms. Hedwig Michel.

This
second picture was taken in front of the "Vesta Newcomb" cottage.
She was an early Koreshan who
lived in this building up to the time of her death at age 96 in 1974. You can see the many diamond shaped orbs
behind Lynn (and on her pants) and smaller ones behind Judy. Additionally, you can see the flash back
from my camera when the picture was taken.
There is a 'Plexiglas' wall sent into the doorway about 3 feet back and
in an 'L' shape pattern. I assume it
is used to stop visitors from entering the room and for protecting the inside
of the building from the environment. I
use the flash all the time, even in bright sunlight. Some believe orbs use the energy from the flash to send back
their location. Interesting enough, we
went back a few days afterwards and took some pictures and not one orb was
located at the compound site.
A conclusion on what was
photographed is up to the individual.
We present these images in hopes to better understand the "ORB
Phenomena" and report on them. We do
know of many ways false orbs can be made.
But if there is just one "real orb' picture taken, then there must be
others waiting to be captured on film or digitally. For additional resources on orbs read "The Orb Project" by a
retired university president Dr. Miceal Ledwith, D.D., LL.D and NASA
consultant/scientist Dr. Klaus Heinemann, Ph.D.
